Fluregiene 200™ Coating process for in-house application and product sales.

Fluregiene 200 is a unique fluoropolymer coating  which we provide as part of our engineered performance coating services. Our antimicrobial coating offers low friction combined with superb chemical and abrasion resistance. We launched Fluregiene 200™ back in February 2022, this antimicrobial coating is both flexible and formable and offers outstanding wear resistance properties.

Benefits of applying antimicrobial coating, Fluregiene 200™

Anti microbial application on exercise bike

  • Anti fouling

–Low COF Surface coating (0.08 – 0.2 static)

–Corrosion resistance

–Excellent chemical resistance

–Excellent chip and abrasion resistance

–Reduces and prevents build up of contaminates

–Excellent flexibilty

–Dirt and debris less likely to attach to the surface

  • Microbial & bacteria growth inhibitor

–Using BioCote® antimicrobial technology

–Inhibits and reduces microbial growth on protected coating

  • Easy clean and reduced cleaning intervals

–Provides continual microbial reduction on coating

–High PTFE content allows easy wipe down and cleaning

–Provides more hygienic and cleanable surface than brushed or finished steel

Brushed stainless steel surface (typical of handrail)

The image of the surface below shows a typical brushed stainless steel or aluminium surface which would be found on components such as hand rails and door handles.

Although hard and smooth to the touch this type of surface has a wealth of micro valleys and surface characteristics that will helpsurface profile of metal before anti-microbial treatmentharbour and collect undesirable contaminates.

Surfaces coated with Fluregiene 200™

The Image here shows a surface coated with Fluregiene 200™. The surface has as a completely different profile when coated and now has a positively skewed surface indicating that there are less valleys and micro pits in the surface, highlighting the effectiveness of this antimicrobial coating.

The PTFE content within Fluregiene 200™ also provides anti stickprofile of metal surface after application of antimicrobial treatmentproperties and an easy clean surface, to make this antimicrobial coating not only resistant to bacteria but also simple to keep clean and debris free.

  • BioCote® antimicrobial additive technology provides permanent protection to hygiene conscious parts
  • Protection for coating against bacteria, mould, fungi and even some viruses by up to 99.9.%
  • Reduces microbial growth on surfaces and can be easily applied to metals, plastics, and alloys.
  • Added protection to existing anti-stick and anti-fouling properties making cleaning easy and efficient.
  • Stay fresh for longer, less microbes means reduced potential for staining and unpleasant odours, so your product stays fresher for longer, increasing its functional life cycle.
